This book is the absolute PERFECT conclusion to Let It Be Me.
I fell in love with Canyon and Ari in the first book, and that love grew in book 2.
Ari has grown so much from book to book and it’s so great to see how she does. Canyon – even though he’s older – also changes, but in a good way. Then there’s sassy little sister Shelby who if finally feeling at place in her crazy little world. She’s become way more vocal about what she wants and I love it!
There are a whole new set of challenges for Canyon and Ari to face. They face them head on, with courage and dignity. That’s not to say it’s smooth sailing between the two. There are a few speed-bumps, but they handle them well.
I know that this is the first time Barbara has ever written a book involving the same two main characters and I have to say, she did a FABULOUS job. Ari and Canyon definitely had more to say, and I’m so glad she got the rest of their story out. And the ending had me in happy tears.
You MUST read LET IT BE ME first to understand LET IT BE US. And I highly suggest you do.
His eyes never left mine as he was being pulled away, and I
knew the future was ours as a family. Nothing could take that away from me
again. I watched his mouth as he silently spoke, “I love you.” He was
pulled out of sight before I could respond, but we had the rest of our lives
for me to say those words. And I planned on saying them as often as possible.
Author Barbara Speak loves nothing more than being allowed to share her ideas and
thoughts through books that so many enjoy. When she’s not writing she’s caring
for her son and daughter along side her amazing husband in rural Missouri. She
has 5 more babies but these are covered in fur. Bode the boxer, Tucker the
beagle and Lily, Callie and Connor her kitties.
