They met under the most unusual circumstances and fell deeply in love. Their relationship thrived, despite all the secrets Kyle kept from Janny. When the
sordid details of his betrayal were revealed in the worst way possible, he had to fight to win her back.

Now Kyle’s in the battle of his life and the obstacle in their path might be impossible to overcome. Will they continue working together and face the
problem head on or…

will this be the one thing their love can’t survive?

“I’m falling for you, Janny.”

“Kyle, what’s wrong?”

His lips move, but no words leave his mouth. Panic fills his eyes.

“I want to be with you and I don’t plan to let you go.”

“Kyle, what’s happening?” I yell, my voice is laced with fear.

Our eyes meet. His breaths are quick and shallow. Terror snakes its way around me, squeezing until I can’t breathe. He grips his head with both hands and
falls hard to his knees.

I fall to mine, my shaky hands grabbing his face. “Kyle can you hear me?” I scream.

“Janny Moore, will you be my girlfriend?”

His eyes squeeze shut. Sweat beads on his face. I wipe it away, and touch my forehead to his.

His beautiful golden brown eyes open. He smiles.

“We should stop before I can’t.”

Tears cloud my eyes and fall helplessly. I smile back. He’s going to be okay.

“I wasn’t prepared for you.”

Relief turns to horror when his eyes roll back into his head. He slips from my grasp, his head hitting the concrete with a sickening thud.

“I’ve fallen in love with you.”

“No!” I yell, reaching for him.

“I never want to spend another day without you.”

I sob, cradling his bloodied head in my lap.

Holy cow, Jacob’s done it again. And he did it better than the first time!

I was SO excited to get my copy of Quiver. I was very eagerly awaiting the second that it showed up on my iPad because the way Quake ended left me stunned and anxious.  Thankfully Jacob showed us mercy and picked up in Quiver right where Quake left off.

This book is full of complications and roadblocks for Kyle and Janny. There are some sinister twists and a whole lot of suspense that make it impossible to put down. Add in the sexy elements and you have a most fantastic follow up to a brilliant debut novel.

I love the dual POV of these books. It’s always fun to get inside each characters head, and with Jacobs writing style, you feel like you are. Everything they feel, you feel. Every question, every hurt, every happy moment. You’re right there, going through it.  Kyle and Janny are two well developed characters, and you can’t help but love them (even when they’re being stubborn PITA’s!). I love the way he ends Quiver. It’s a jaw-dropping, gasping sort of ending that literally had me squealing and yelling holy sh*t at the same time. And I can’t wait until his next book, Delve comes out. I have a feeling we will be getting even more of the erotic thrills that we are coming to expect from him.

I truly believe that in just two books, Jacob has firmly established himself in this wonderful Indie community, and that we will be reading amazing stories from him for years to come.  And I for one, will be right there, along for the ride.
